A graduate from a small village Hinouli (Mughal Sarai), UP, when I joined Prem Henna Private Limited as sales officer on July 21, 2010, I was not aware that closing my own general stores would provide me so much. Here is my success story.

“When I was running my shop for quite some time, I thought, if I have to achieve something bigger, challenging and rewarding, then I have to wrap up the shop in a timely manner. This thought led me to join one of the fastest emerging cosmetic giants, Prem Henna Private Limited. My first assignment was as sales officer in East UP (Varanasi & Allahabad). Before my joining, the total sale in this region was 25 lacs. Within six months of my joining, I took this figure to 70 lacs with my sheer determination & constant support and guidance & caring approach of company’s managing director, Mr. Sukhdev Gehlot. This was December 2010 when I excelled with this sales figure, and to my surprise it was the highest number achieved by any sales officer at that time in the country.

This led to my sudden recognition in the Prem Henna family and it was followed by my maiden interaction with MD in Varanasi in January 2011. He believed in me and my caliber and therefore he entrusted me with the task of touching a figure of 1 crore by March 2011. Was that unachievable mark, might be yes looking at very short time period; but MD is a great visionary. He knew about my working style and market scenario. From the very next day, I started to work to achieve this figure with a roadmap given by him. With his 24*7 support and mentoring I could achieve this figure. Growth graph was continued thereafter in the said region.

In May-June 2013, I was again appreciated for hugging the sales figure of 2 crore from East UP. I was promoted to the post of Area Sales Executive for the same region. Not only this, but in a routine sales meet called by MD, in June 2013, my efforts were appreciated publicly and a certificate was presented to me for achieving the very best with planned and smart hard work with proper market study.

In October 2014 looking at my professional commitment, I was elevated to the level of Area Sales Manager. Present sale reached to an unprecedented figure of 2.5-3 crore. The lessons I learnt from this organization are many from view point of professional commitment and consistency, but what I am crazy for, is the entirely different work culture and support of MD besides supporting staff. Our MD is from those rare personalities in the fraternity, who is known for 24*7 availability for any sort of assistance and views sharing.
